Looking to personalise clothing at home with an iron on transfer? Follow our simple, reliable steps to get perfect results using just your household iron.

What You’ll Need:

Your iron on transfer

A flat pressing surface either an ironing board, kitchen marble worktop or any firm surface that is heat resistant.

A household iron (no steam setting)

Garment or fabric (100% cotton or cotton blend is ideal)

Parchment paper (included for heat protection)

Step 1: Preheat the Iron

Set your iron to the highest temperature suitable for cotton (around 160–180°C) and ensure that the steam function is turned off. Allow it to heat up for 3 to 5 minutes.

Step 2: Prepare Your Garment

Lay your fabric flat and give it a quick press for 10 seconds to remove any creases. Ensure the area where your iron on transfer will go is smooth and clean.

Step 3: Position the Transfer

Place the iron on transfer face-down (design side touching the garment). Make sure it’s properly aligned and centred.

Step 4: Apply Heat

Cover the transfer with the included parchment paper. Firmly press down with the iron  for 12 seconds and apply a firm even pressure.

Step 5: Repeat for Full Coverage

Lift the iron and move to the next section of the transfer. Repeat the pressing action until you’ve covered the entire design.

Step 6: Cool & Peel

Let the garment cool for 30–60 seconds until it is warm to the touch before slowly peeling away the backing paper. If any parts lift, re-cover with parchment and apply pressure again for 5–10 seconds.

Step 7: Final Press (Optional)

For a more durable finish, place parchment paper over the applied iron on transfer and give it a final 5-second press..

Aftercare Tips:

Wash inside out on a cold or 30°C cycle

Do not tumble dry

Iron inside out—never directly on the transfer

Avoid harsh detergents and fabric softeners
